How to Join

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Capitolo Community Garden. Membership is open is to the community and is available through the Waitlist. (See below.) Once your name rises to the top of the list, you'll be offered the next available plot. Typically the wait is 3-4 years, but it can be longer or shorter depending on the number of current members who leave.

Things to know about membership

  • Members must attend two workdays and two meetings annually to retain their plots.

  • Members volunteer for chores like watering common beds and moving garden trash to the curb. Chores are a part of Garden membership.

  • Community gardening is much more than tending a plot — it's about being a part of a community. We encourage and value member participation.

Gardners, community members, and people on the waitlist are all welcome to help weed, water, and maintain the Garden's common beds.
